Bon Tran: It All Starts With The Right Mindset

A life coach and a fitness trainer who specializes in helping people achieve their weight-loss goals, and makes genuine physical transformations. Bon Tran is one such coach who often does this training directly in people’s homes. Bon wakes up excited every day because he gets to do what he loves the most. Why do people struggle to get results?
People often struggle because they focus on actions instead of mindset, be it weight loss, self-confidence or just fitting into a piece of clothing that you love. The key is the BE. DO. and HAVE approach. This can be applied to anything in life, whether you’re trying to improve relationships or live healthier. Usually when people chase their fitness goals, they go to the gym, go on a diet and work hard towards achieving it. This lasts for a few weeks where a lot of them see great results, but then they lose focus, and go back to their old habits of junk food and sitting at home watching Netflix. This is where having a firm mindset plays a crucial part. You need to be in that state of mind continuously to see results.

What needs to change?
It’s not the diet that changes everything, it’s who you need to become to follow that discipline. We see people chasing crash diets and drugs that will make them magically lose weight overnight, but do not focus on what they need to become to achieve that. A diet can’t help if your thoughts don’t match. First, you need to BE the kind of person who sticks to the plan—this is about mindset. Once you’ve got that, you can DO the right things consistently, whether it’s sticking to healthy eating or working out. When your mindset and actions match, you’ll HAVE the results you want. It’s all about mental and emotional strength. For me, it’s great to see the changes in someone, from the inside out, knowing that they’re improving their quality of life, learning how to live a healthier lifestyle, and most importantly, loving themselves.

What kind of people do you help?
My clients are usually very hardworking and loving people who are committed to their families and successful in their careers, but they struggle with one aspect of their life, and that’s their health. They are so busy in their day-to-day life that they struggle to take time out for themselves and their physical health. They have the potential to work on their habits and improve their strength and fitness on their own but still seek professional help from someone who cares and helps them develop the right habits. When they realize that hiring a coach will help them get results faster and take the frustration and guesswork out of achieving their goals, that’s where I step in.
