Ingredients
1 pound uncooked penne.
½ medium onion, chopped
1 pound Italian sausage or extra lean ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced.
1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
salt and pepper to taste.
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Step 2: Grease a 9×13 baking dish
Step 3: Boil a large salted pot of water for the penne
Step 4: Cook it for 10 minutes al dente
Step 5: Add the oil, beef/sausage, and onion to a skillet
Step 6: Sauté over medium-high heat, breaking your choice of meat up as you go
Step 7: Once it is split, stir in the garlic
Step 8: Spoon out the excess fat if needed
Step 9: Stir the marinara sauce and warm through
Step 10: Season with salt and pepper as needed
