Ingredients
1 cup butter (melted)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup white chocolate chips (for the spiderweb)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just combined, then fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips if using. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes with moist crumbs.
While the brownies are cooling, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring between each until fully melted. Pour the melted white chocolate into a small piping bag or a plastic zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off.
Once the brownies have cooled, pipe concentric circles of white chocolate on top of the brownies. Starting from the center, use a toothpick to drag lines outward to create a spiderweb effect.
Let the white chocolate set before cutting the brownies into squares. For extra spookiness, add candy spiders or sprinkles!
These Spooky Spiderweb Brownies are the perfect Halloween treat to delight kids and adults alike!
